Public Meeting re Tea Gardens Police Station

At the Tea Gardens Police Station
There is a very strong rumour, which we understand has some legs behind it, that the Tea Gardens Police Station, along with other regional stations in our area, will be closed in the foreseeable future. Obviously, this is a serious matter of great community concern. It is also a serious concern that officials in the state government believe that policing in our community can be effectively maintained from a station in Raymond Terrace or Maitland.
While we do not have the details at this stage, a public meeting has been called to be held at the Tea Gardens Police Station, tomorrow, Tuesday 28 November 2017 at 2.00pm.
Kate Washington will address the community meeting in an effort to gain support to stop this crazy plan and we need as many members of the community to attend to show our opposition to the plan. The media including some TV stations will be in attendance.
This is a serious issue so please attend if you can.
