50 residents attend the NACRA

meeting on Saturday 9 February 2019.

The main item discussed was the deal on the table for cheaper power presented by Michael Pickles

The main points are;

Energy Australia will offer the deal to residents who hold a NACRA membership number. At present there are 50 plus interested members however we need more to sign up as interested.

The next NACRA Meeting will be held on 9 Feb 2019.

Starting at 10 am .

NACRA is kicking off 2019 with some sucesses.

1. An electricity deal is being struck which will mean discounts for costs and a better outcomes for solar. Up to 32% discount for Cove Residents. Mid Coast Council is planning to invest $40 million in a new facility for offices and administration for the merged councils at Biripi Way Taree.

In response to community requests for consultation a number of forums were set up across the council area. The proposal has drawn heated responses and opened some old and inflicted new wounds.
