Mid Coast Council is planning to invest $40 million in a new facility for offices and administration for the merged councils at Biripi Way Taree.

In response to community requests for consultation a number of forums were set up across the council area. The proposal has drawn heated responses and opened some old and inflicted new wounds. See the Manning Community News for a run down on the theatrics and the factors that have insensed residents.

Check out the Councils position on the website at Biripi Way Centralisation .

Last Saturday's NACRA AGM saw big changes with the election of the new NACRA Committee for 2018-19. The retirement of several longer-term committee members provided an opportunity for others to step forward. And step forward they did with enthusiasm. It was great to see that we have within our small community many people willing to volunteer their time  and effort to work in the interests of our Cove community. So many in fact that ballots were required to determine some of the positions.
