North Arm Cove Residents Association

We have a number of volunteer positions available for motivated residents of North Arm Cove who care about our Village, its Environment and Lifestyle.

Firstly, MCC Reserves and Parks Volunteers.

Duties involve assisting other resident volunteers in maintaining the three areas of public land currently open for community use.

*Heros Park.

*Community Precinct Area.

*Casuarina Reserve.

Tasks involve weeding, mowing and general clean up. All required equipment is supplied by Council and full training provided.

The time involved will not be a lot, due to rostering. Come and join us for some social...

So many significant issues involving MidCoast Council have arisen since the September election - including its purchase of the Taree Masters site and the surprise resignation of its General Manager just before Christmas. It is timely that Councillor Len Roberts will be the guest speaker at the next North Arm Cove Residents Association meeting. Come along to the Hall 10am on Saturday 10th February to hear what Councillor Roberts has to say and let him know your views. The agenda for Saturday's meeting is attached below.

Casuarina Park's "Friends of Casuarina" have been doing some landscaping work this week - including new plantings. It was surprising how dry and rock-hard the soil was just a few centimetres down. Hopefully a little steady rain will come and give those new plants an early boost.

Of course there are some volunteer tasks that seem to never end.
Like the collection of twigs and branches that fall from our trees on a regular basis - and particularly during a hot and windy summer....

Big changes and opportunities lay ahead for your Association in 2018. The major programs achieved in recent years, especially 2017 are now the foundations upon which we must look to the future. Community facilities, Council relations, Resident communications and identification of needs will involve much of your Committees time and efforts in the year ahead. Your input to these tasks and projects are vital for success and are sought be they positive or negative to an issue.. None of us have all the answers, but I am totally committed to ensuring we move together as a united community, clearly focussed...
