Big changes and opportunities lay ahead for your Association in 2018. The major programs achieved in recent years, especially 2017 are now the foundations upon which we must look to the future. Community facilities, Council relations, Resident communications and identification of needs will involve much of your Committees time and efforts in the year ahead. Your input to these tasks and projects are vital for success and are sought be they positive or negative to an issue.. None of us have all the answers, but I am totally committed to ensuring we move together as a united community, clearly focussed...

Clearly water quality and effluent disposal are topics of keen interest to local residents! There was a big attendance at Saturday's Residents Association and Malcolm Hunter, MidCoast Council's Environmental Health Coordinator, responded to questions from interested residents for more than an hour. Many of those questions and responses have been captured in the attached minutes of the meeting.

The meeting also covered a wide range of other local issues - including the pending release of the report on the Boat Ramp Investigation and the results of the survey on children's recreation activities in the Cove.

The tennis club isn’t just about on-court play. We also like to get together socially for a pizza night at the community centre. At a general meeting on April 27 ( see minutes below ) the members decided that for the rest of the year it would be scheduled, when possible, for the first Saturday of the month, starting on May 6th. This was a great success. It also provided the opportunity for the club to hold another general meeting ( see minutes below ) to deal with several matters from the previous meeting. No decision has been made as...

November is an ideal time to join the North Arm Cove Tennis Club.  The weather is often perfect for tennis, not too hot and not too cold.  A family membership is only $40 and entitles the parent, the children, the grandchildren and partners to play for a court hire fee of only $4.00 an hour.  This has got to be the best deal from any tennis club in Australia. Why not join up so you're ready to play when the family visits over the holidays.

A good discussion followed an interesting presentation from our State MP Kate Washington when she updated Saturday's Residents Meeting on a wide range of current state issues. The topics addressed included hospital public-private partnerships, the Williamtown contamination and sale of part of the Mambo wetlands . Kate also dicussed issues she was encountering as a result of her added responsibilities as shadow minister for both Early Childhood and the Hunter. These roles were often requiring her to travel and as a result she was spending quite a bit of time away from the Electorate.

The minutes of the meeting...
