In response to questions from the Residents Association, Council has this week provided advice on what Cove roads and drainage projects are to be funded in the 2017-18 works program.

The Census data released today suggests that Australians are getting older. The opposite applies to North Arm Cove residents. We are (apparently) getting younger!

Median age of Cove residents has dropped to 59 in 2016 from 60 back in 2011. (It must be you getting younger because it is certainly not me.)

The summary of the recommendations regarding a boat ramp at North Arm Cove is as follows:
1. Based on the report developed by RHDHV, and citing the significant costs and associated impacts of constructing a boat launching facility (specifically, a boat ramp) at Medina Bay, it is recommended that no boat ramp be constructed in this location.

It was standing room only at the Community Centre yesterday (Saturday 17 June) for a Public Meeting to discuss the implications of the DA proposal for a private quarry at Bundabah. Well in excess of a hundred people from the Cove, Bundabah, Pindimar and further afield listened intently to a detailed presentation of the history of the site and the very concerning discrepancies between the content of the DA proposal and the known facts.

After an extensive Q&A-and-comments session, a sea of hands showed overwhelming support for a motion that this meeting calls upon Council to reject Development Application...
