After a heatwave for the February meeting we have had an extended period of rain. But rain, hail or shine the Residents Meeting will be at the Hall next Saturday 8 April at 10am. Hope to see you there. The agenda is attached.

The proposal to merge MidCoast Council with MidCoast Water is on public exhibition until 12 April. Details of the proposal and explanations on how to make a submission can be found here: http://www.midcoast.nsw.gov.au/Have-Your-Say/MidCoast-Council-and-MidCoa...

How will this merger affect North Arm Cove?

Probably not very much - given that we have neither sewer nor town water and are unlikely to be provided with those services in the foreseeable future. Possibly there will be some side effects.

There is an expected $3million in savings but, on previous experience, none of that will head our way....

This is your chance to "have your say" on the branding of the amalgamated MidCoast Council. You can watch the video and then answer the survey by accessing this webpage: http://www.midcoast.nsw.gov.au/Have-Your-Say/What-is-MidCoast-2

Hear why these logos and the choice of colour-palette represent the lakes, the mountains and the Manning valley. Do either of these options work for you?

Between the past week's all-to-frequent squally showers, David Read and his team have been able to commence work on the Cove's planned Commmunity Precinct. The first task is creating the ~400 metre walking/cycling track that will meander around the reserve opposite the Hall. The layout of this track was determined several weeks ago by Council Parks and Recreation staff in conjunction with the Project's local steering subcommittee. The track when completed will have a fine crushed rock surface.

Coeliac AwarenessdougkFri, 17/03/2017 - 6:43pm

It seems every day of the year and every week has been allocated one or more names. This week has been designated as Coeliac Awareness Week . As a Coeliac diagnosed somewhat late in life, I do feel I should do my bit to make people aware of the issues. The attached poster highlights how symptoms of Coeliac Disease can be very diverse, differing from one individual to another. Some people do not get the abdominal symptoms at all. In children undiagnosed Coeliac Disease may be the cause of otherwise unexplained behavioural or learning problems.
