Bulky Waste Cleanup

Information

A  bulky waste kerbside collection for North Arm Cove residents will take place between 4-10 June. It's a great opportunity to dispose of those bulky, unwanted items without even leaving the Cove BUT it is important not to place items out before Wednesday 2 June.

Council advises that, to make the most of Bulky Waste and avoid being fined, we should take some time beforehand to understand what items will be accepted (and what won't), how it should be presented for collection, and when to place it out.

The collection covers two types of waste, to be presented neatly in two separate piles

Scrap metal like old pushbikes, empty paint tins (lids removed), and whitegoods (doors removed) presented in one pile. All scrap metal collected will be recycled.
A separate pile is for general bulky waste like broken furniture, small appliances and bric-a-brac, and eWaste which includes items like computers, TVs, stereos, and mobile phones. Everything you place out for collection in your general waste pile will be sent to landfill, so if an item can be re-used by someone else, try finding it a new home instead.

(This Bulky Waste collection does not replace or void the free waste disposal vouchers distributed in November 2020 - however these vouchers only remain valid for use until 30 June 2021!)
