1. What's happening with our local community plan, what residents really think about the Cove, and what their infrastructure priorities are?

2. The defibrillator, when will we get it, where will it be installed, and what training will be provided?

3. Proposals for dual occupancy, and what impact they could have on the Cove's "character"?

4. What's happening about carparking and landscaping next to the Community Centre, and the power and water upgrade?

The first NACCAi ordinary meeting for 2021 is being held this coming Saturday, 13th February 2021, at the Community Centre.

Please note that the meeting will be held from 2pm to 4pm, instead of in the mornings as previously held.

This is because the coffee shop will be open in the morning, and it is not practical to hold the meeting at the same time.

The agenda and the finance and subcommittee reports, together with the draft minutes from the December 2020 meeting, are attached.

Covid safe arrangements will be in place for the meeting.

This post is an update for the North Arm Cove community on a change in time for the next NACCAi meeting, and recent changes to the NACCAi Committee, as follows:

13 February 2021 Ordinary General Meeting – time change and agenda items

This meeting will now be held from 2pm to 4pm at the Community Centre on Saturday 13 February, instead of the scheduled 10am to 12noon on this day.

We now have sufficient donations to go ahead and purchase a defibrillator for the Cove.

A total of 18 families and groups, including the North Arm Cove Stitchgathers, have donated $3,680, with individual donations from $50 to $1,000.

This is a fantastic result, a result that the community can be proud of. It shows what we can achieve when we work together.

Over the past month the Roads and Drainage subcommittee has been inspecting roads and drains in the Village and updating the list of issues identified in the Council 2017 drainage strategy.

The next step is to organise a meeting with Council to discuss what needs to be done to fix drainage issues and what the priorities should be.

The subcommittee has prepared an interim report on its observations and initial recommendations.

This report is reproduced below. It can also be downloaded from the bottom of this post.

I am really proud of what our community has donated so far. We are making fantastic progress towards our goal of $3,500.

Donations to date from the community total $2,450, with individual donations ranging from $50 to $1,000.

For those who have made a donation, thank you very much, we appreciate it.

The tennis club has applied for a donation from the Office of Sport, but we don’t know if it will be successful.

This post is an appeal seeking donations to purchase a defibrillator for the North Arm Cove community.

At the 17 October NACCAi meeting there was considerable discussion about having a defibrillator located in North Arm Cove for emergency use, and there has been a number of posts on the website since then on the need for one.

These days defibrillators are regarded as essential safety equipment, yet we don’t have one in the Cove!

In the event of a heart attack, a defibrillator could save your life, your partner’s life, your child’s life, or your neighbour’s life.
