Notice of Special Meeting 10 am 8 February 2020 to pass the following resolution:

That the existing Constitution and Objects of the North Arm Cove Residents' Association Inc be replaced by the new Constitution and the Objects defined therein that are annexed to this Special Resolution and available on the North Arm Cove website https://northarmcove.nsw.au; and

that the new Constitution and Objects take effect from the conclusion of this Special General Meeting pending...

A new name for our community Association has been approved by Fair Trading

it is now

North Arm Cove Community Association Inc.

On December 7 2019 Members voted on a new name for the organisation to reflect the wider community of residents and landholders in the neighbourhood.

This brings the Assocation up to date with our membership and is the third name for the Association having started as North Arm Cove Progress Association INc in 1992, and then progressed to NAC Residents Association in 2002.

NACRA Minutes of Meetings.

Draft minutes of the Special Meeting and General Meeting held on Saturday 7 December 2019 are posted here for information.

The outcomes of the special meeting were that Resolution 1 to adopt the Proposed Constitution was not passed. Since the meeting the Executive has met with the Reference Group and Len Roberts local MCC member to discuss implications of the constitution and agreed to make changes to the proposed constitution for the consideration of members which will be posted as soon as this is complete.

NACRA members have provided $1000 towards essential fire equipement for the local fire brigade as a donatin of thanks from the community for the hard work so far and what looks to be a continuing battle over summer. Jim Parnell President and Lyn Mckee Treasurer presented the donation to John Aaltonen.

Our brigade members have been very busy volunteering with other brigades over the last 2 months in protecting property and working to reduce the fires, Our brigade has 10 members and is looking for volunteers. In November they completed six 12 hour sifts and this month...

Fires close by have revealed some of our vulnerabilities as a community and response to emergencies.

We need more volunteers to help maintain our resources at the Community Hall and surrounds. We also need to identify people who can be Wardens for local clusters of residents, these people can check on neighbours who need assistance. If you are available to help with either please contact Lorraine Conroy 0414322948.

Outcomes of the SRG Meeting 1 November

The following requests for works and improvements are reported here: New requests made on behalf of community members are:

Preparation for Bushfire Season - Maintenance of trails. Requests on behalf of residents have been made to Council. The Requests have been made previously through RFS however have not been completed. A letter has been sent to Len Roberts for follow up. Preparation for Holiday Season - 3 additional bins for each of Yellow, Green and Red from 14 Dec to 31 January and how to sort...

The draft minutes of the General Meeting 12 October are attached.

Note that since this meeting there has been work on the Constitution which will be distributed shortly to distribute to members by the 15/16 November to be voted on 7 December.

The Oyster Consultation held on the 25 October has resolved many of the issues for the community and the results of this meeting will be posted once all the information and structures for moving forward are completed.
