In a break with tradition, the North Arm Cove Stitch Gatherers won't be serving sandwiches and cakes at this year's Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser for the NSW Cancer Council.
Instead they will be dishing out delicious home made soup at their "Soup Kitchen" to be held on Saturday 9 July at the community hall from noon to 3pm. Diners will be able to choose from classics such as Pea & Ham, Potato & Leek, Pumpkin and Minestrone, served with damper. For dessert, there's cake, coffee and tea. Entry fee is $15.00 (includes lunch).
Quality, hand crafted items created by the Stitch Gatherers group will be on sale and as usual, there will be loads of great raffle prizes to be won including the major raffle prize, a gourmet hamper full of wine, chocolate and other delicious treats. Lunch will be followed by a special guest speaker.
All proceeds will go to the NSW Cancer Council for vital research. For further information contact Joan Williams 4997 3438 or Annette Searle 0414 723 248.
