The Community Centre is closed this week for floor sanding.

The Committee elected to spend the funds they have raised over the years on renewing the floor with a great quote from Emporium Sanding as an investment for the future.

Work started late on Tuesday due to a power outage howver sanding and polishing should be completed ready for use on Monday 20 July however may be delayed.

25 residents and local completed and passed the Boat License Course and PWC at the hall provided by Sydney Sea School Trainer Jenny Nugent Saturday 4 July.

More than half of the participants were women keen for a license and get out on the water.

The youngest participant was a girl 14 years who achieved 100% pass. There were 6 participants under 20 years old.

Some of the participants had not completed a test since leaving school however the clear, concise presentation and reviews gave participants an even chance and everyone got through.

They will be both missed for thier determination and persistence over the years and of course the annual events which were enjoyed by many in the Cove.
