Hand painted 'Coffee in the Cove' sign missing
from the blackboard (opposide the Community Centre).
It may have been removed because it kept falling over in the wind
or as a joke - but we would appreciate it being returned please.

we will only be open between 10 am and 12 noon .

What a busy morning - Saturday 6th February 2021...!

Volunteers were rushed off their feet with orders - friends and neighbours catching up over coffee and cake - Saturday's seem to be a popular day for a relaxing coffee and natter.  Now serving iced coffee, mocha and chocolate with some really delicious treats too.

The Community Centre Committee along with Stitch Gatherers were delighted with the outcomes of the Australia Day event at Heros Beach.

The Committee donated all the costs as appreciation to the community for thier support for the Centre.

Volunteers from the Commmittee and Stitch Gatherers were the troopers along with stall warts from the Community who put in annually to make this day a happy gathering.

In September 2020 the Community Centre Committee and Garden Group started to put together a proposal for car parking and beaufication of the Community Centre Grounds.

The changes have been discussed at the Tennis Club, NACCAi and with all the user groups of the Centre.

Mid Coast Council Traffic Committee and Halls Manager have approved the changes.

Attached are the final drawings beautifully produced by local architect and active community volunteer Rob Van DeZeilt.

A Christmas party for 40 locals was held at the Community Centre due to inclement weather had organisers are running to organise BBqs,Dishwashers and Stoves. Users of the hall are familiar with the routine. The dishwasher did not have time to warm up as it cannot be used at the same time as the BBQs. The BBQs had been used earlier in the evening for entrees. The stove could not be used either so all the food was warmed in the bay maries. The large fridge could not be used so many eskis were brought in to keep food...

The Cove Coffee team are excited to be officially open on 10 am Saturday 21 November.

10 am - 12 noon Wednesdays and Thursdays

Saturdays to be confirmed soon.

We will be serving coffees and tea with a range of milk options and locally made scones and cake.

We only accept cash.

Submission has been made for a Community Infrastructure Grant from Office of Gambling NSW for Upgrade of North Arm Cove Community Centre electricity with supply of a 3 phase 63kva substation, upgrade of building connections, and 50,000 litre water tank will ensure that the activities and operations of the centre are sustainable.

We need the power and water upgraded to provide enough resources to conduct existing activities and events and also to provide new innovations such as the coffee shop.

Over $1000 has been raised with the support of donators for the Coffee Shop.

The funds cover the purchase of a Coffee Machine provided by Cafe Maintenance which has been installed by the generous support of Vince Sosnovec.

The support for the Coffee Shop has been overwhelming with generous donations of funds, time and help.

Jan Walker and John Fisk installled the kitchen which was donated by Vince.

Benchtop provided by Newcastle Benches.

The Community Center Committee has been asked by Council to prepare a submission for upgrading of the electricity to the Center and an additional water tank. The submission will be made to the Office of Gambling Community Infrastructure Fund.

The upgrade of electricity to the Center has been on the agenda at Council for more than 2 years. Council have not been able to source funds for the upgrade which amounts to around $45,000.

We need the upgrade to provide enough electricity at the Center to operate, stoves, fridges, air conditioners, BBQ and minor appliances. Outside lighting is...
