will host a networking meeting of other Hall Committees with a view to
sharing of ideas and meeting of community members from other local areas.

The end of year meeting of the 355 Hall Committee celebrated more than 20 years of service by Maureen Kelly and Moira Hooper as they confirmed thier resignations to move onto new lives. A painting of the hall by Julie Savage who has recently left the Cove was presented by Maureen Kelly and depicts the original founding members cleaning the hall and lighting a fire. They will be both missed for thier determination and persistence over the years and of course the annual events which were enjoyed by many in the Cove.

Mid Coast Council are conducting a survey of initial thoughts we may have about ageing and services. You can access the survey here https://www.midcoast.nsw.gov.au/Community/People/Seniors

You can also register to be part of a focus group.

John Alltonen Captain of the Fire Brigade will be available at the Community Centre at

5pm Saturday 9 November to discuss fire escape plans for Cove Residents.

Anyone with questions and concerns are welcome.

86% of households recently surveyed rely on the Cove News .

Surveys are still coming in and being delivered to the Hall and other addresses. So far there are over 50 households who have responded however more would be welcome. 114 People including children responded.

A full report will be available soon on the results and the start of a community plan for North Arm Cove

Lids for Kids

A scheme to recycle plastic lids which are not able to be recycled through the garbage system.

North Arm Cove resident Christine Shyndell has arranged to collect lids which are then turned into prosthetic hands for child amputees by Victorian-based not-for-profit group, Envision.

Recycle your plastic bottle lids and bread bag tags at the Hall.

Plastic lids are re-cycled to make prosthetic limbs for children
