Members and residents of the North Arm Cove village are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be available afterwards.

There will be some interesting issues to discuss at the meeting, including the local community plan, the Yallarwah fitness track, the jetty proposal and the rural strategy.

The attached file contains an aerial view of the proposed layout. It shows the track layout, the locations of the two exercise stations, and the picnic table in the centre.

The track has been marked on the ground with some orange paint lines.

I am pleased to advise that we have been offered a grant of up to $90,606 from round 4 of the Stronger Country Communities Fund program to build a sealed exercise track with outdoor exercise stations and seating at Yallarwah Park.

The attached concept plan shows a layout of what we are planning.

This project was originally part of the “Give us a heart” project in 2016 which resulted in the formation of Yallarwah Park and the existing walking track.

Even though the current Omicron wave is slowing down, Covid is in the Cove, and since many of our residents are at higher risk of serious illness if they catch Covid, the NACCAi committee has decided it would be prudent if the ordinary meeting scheduled for Saturday 12 February did not go ahead.

So the ordinary general meeting scheduled to be held from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday 12 February has been cancelled.

We have done a few minor changes to this report to fix some formatting and grammar errors.

It has been sent off to MidCoast Council with a request for Council to review the report and then meet with us to develop a prioritised action plan to implement the recommendations in the report.

A copy of the amended report is attached.

The NAC Roads and Drainage subcommittee - Gary Sylvaney - has finalised the roads and signage report. This final report takes into account resident feedback on the draft version that was placed on the website a month ago.

A public jetty in North Arm Cove has been a high priority for the community for many many years. It has also been identifed as a top priority in submissions to our local community plan.

Last years NSW bushfire inquiry report recommended that villages with only one access that could be cut-off by a bushfire - such as North Arm Cove - should also have a water based evacuation means if possible.
