Join The North Arm Cove YESS Committee at their "Aussie Bush Lunch" from noon Saturday 29 August at the Community Hall.
This event is to encourage North Arm Cove families to support the YESS project, an iinitiative to provide students entering high school with a $100 grant to purchase sporting gear or equipment. It's also a jolly good excuse to get together for a hearty lunch and a fun filled afternoon.
Lunch will be about as Aussie as you can get and will include pies with mushy peas, sausage rolls, potatoes in their jackets with all the trimmings (sour cream, bacon bits, butter and cheese) and good old roast beef and gravy sandwiches. And what could be more Australian than Lamingtons for dessert? Or if you prefer, apple pie with cream or custard.
All this for $10 per head or $25 for a family ticket and this includes tea, coffee and soft drinks or you can BYO.
Bob Bush, the Aussie bush poet will entertain you with tall tales and you can sing along or dance to music by Blue Water Cowboys.
If you want to really get into the spirit of things, come along in true blue Aussie gear (optional). There will be a prize for the best outfit and also raffles to be drawn on the day.
