The hazard reduction burn set for the weekend of 4th/ 5th May has been postponed, due to the fact that four members of our brigade will be undergoing assessment to become village firefighters(house fires). Residents will be notified of the new date as soon as it is known. Any smoke seen on Saturday to the north of the village will be members doing a small test burn to check if the bush is dry enough to successfully burn. All this of course is dependent on weather conditions, especially rainfall.
