New Tank Installation : The garden is having the best season ever at present after the rain, there are free herbs for picking, and residents are invitied to join the pickers for vegetable etc by paying the annual $30 fee. 

A new 58,000 litre water tank funded by the Office of Gambling will provide for the need for water in the future. The Garden Group is raising funds for the community contribution to the project to provide the base. So pickers fees will be greatly appreciated.

New Members: Gardeners and potential gardeners are invited to join the NACGarden Group who meet on Wednesdays from 8.00 am till around 10.3o am. We always welcome new people to this vibrant group who have have a beautiful environment at the Community Centre, and who can help us maintain this important resource. Visitors: The NAC Garden Group hosted a visit by the Tea Gardens/ Hawks Nest U3A Garden Club on Wednesday 24 February 2021.

Linda Leggett President of U3A was impressed with the community connections we have in the Cove that make the garden a great place to work,wander through an forage for children and adults, and show off to visitors. The U3A Garden Club are starting a community garden in the area of land behind the Art and Craft Centre at Tea Gardens and were keen to visit our garden to find out how things work and the secrets to sucess.

14 members of the Club were happy to learn from our knowledgable President Bill Mollar, composting from Phillipa, conversations about growing in this area. The group organsising committe were keen to exchange ideas about starting a garden that is open to the community and wildlife. 

Cove Coffee: Trish Parnell, Kaz Gordon and Jenny Bickley kindly opened the Cove Coffee to serve a the traditional morning tea to visitors. Many ideas were discussed for creating an ongoing network with the U3A including future visits, initiating some U3A courses at North Arm Cove, and members joining our garden group.
