Kick off your Australia Day celebrations this year with a visit to the Australia Day Cafe.
Join us at the Community Hall on Sunday 26 January from 8.30am for great food, games and raffles. Choose from a tempting array of mouth-watering dishes including:
- PANCAKES (stack of 3 with maple syrup and cream)
- BAKED EGGS with coriander and cream, served with toast and bacon or Chippolata Sausages
- BRUSCHETTA with tomato and herb topping
- BANANA BREAD delicious, home made
- BACON & EGGS * ORANGE JUICE * CHAI TEA
- FREE Tea or coffee with every meal
After breakfast, take a stroll around the garden and swap gardening tips with the garden members. Buy a raffle ticket and win a great prize, or have a go at some thong throwing or other fun games.
AUSTRALIA DAY HAT COMPETITION
Create a hat that represents your definition of Australia Day. Let your imagination run riot – for example, it could be a variation on the classic Aussie bush hat or a turban made from an Aussie flag. There will be a prize for the best, most creative design.
All proceeds will go the Community Garden Network to complement the recent grant from Great Lakes Council for a water tank and irrigation system.
