Vandalism at the Community Garden

The Community Garden has again been targeted by vandals, ripping out plants such as Cabbage, Cauliflower, Kale and Mustard to name a few.

These plants were nearing being ready for harvest, it is very disappointing to the Garden volunteers who to put in the extensive work to grow these vegetables as well as the funds to provide the plants and the fertilizers, then to have the vandals just rip them out of their beds and scatter them about before they are ready for harvest.

This latest episode of vandalism occurred on Saturday 6th June, it unfortunately seems to coincided with the start of the School holidays.

The Community Garden is a great resource that is available to the community to participate in, but it is a pity that a small community as North Arm Cove has to suffer this senseless vandalism.
