North Arm Cove Community Centre Management Committee (S355) … (NACCCMC) and Coffee in the Cove send Season’s greetings to all.

We have enjoyed this vibrant community enterprise for some two years now… which has proved to be a huge success.  It is managed by a keen band of volunteers and for that we are extremely grateful.   The Committee offer a huge vote of thanks to the volunteers for their time, dedication, and enthusiasm in providing this social meeting place.

NACCCMC encourage transparency in their organization and take this opportunity to demonstrate where our Coffee in the Cove generated funds are expended.  Our motto is giving back to the community … sometimes it involves bringing people together and working toward a single cause…. the wider community of NAC.  You asked for a Coffee Shop and we listened.  Our Treasurer, John Fisk, has supplied a general summary of our expenses, some $11,670, over the last two years … for your information.

COFFEE IN THE COVE: Re-varnishing of flooring, painting of the interior, rubber protection mats, new window blinds, new tables and chairs, coffee making equipment and servicing, storage / backsplash in kitchen and rent to MidCoast Council for hire of the Coffee Shop.

COMMUNITY CENTRE AS A WHOLE INCLUDING GROUNDS: paint, exterior Library Cupboard, garden bed outside pergola, hardware and plumbing costs for new taps in ladies and gents toilets, Australia Day 2024 BBQ food and hire of portaloo (which is offset by a donation from MCC), new sign out front, solar repairs, new patio table and benches in pergola plus Remembrance planter box (generously paid by donation from the late  Lal & Jim Clayton), JP stamp, ‘Slow Down’ signs to protect our native fauna, general equipment for internal hirers, A3 laminator, and a Christmas donation to the Garden Group (our partners in crime and suppliers of chutneys, jams and preserves for sale)!

We trust you have a happy and safe festive season.  Looking forward to seeing you again on, or soon after, the reopening of Coffee in the Cove on 11th January 2025.
