Shortly after Tonyh published his article “Coronavirus confusion” this morning we received an email from Kate Washington containing the latest advice from the Hunter New England Local Health District. A copy of this advice is attached.

To summarise the situation for North Arm Cove residents:

1. If you have visited any of the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Port Stephens, Singleton, Dungog, Muswellbrook or Cessnock local government areas since Friday 30 July then you must follow the lock down rules.
So if you have visited Raymond Terrace, Heatherbrae or Karuah since last Friday 30 July, you must follow the lock down rules.

2. If you are a close contact of a confirmed case, you must be tested and self-isolate for 14 days from the last contact.

3. If you have not been to any of these eight LGA’s listed above, or the Greater Sydney region, and are not a close contact of a confirmed case, you do not have to follow lock down restrictions or self-isolate.

The lock down rules require you to stay at home unless it is for an essential reason, and not have visitors in your home.  This includes having social visits from those outside your household, including family and friends.
