The Maitland Gilbert and Sullivan Society are putting the final touches to their production of ‘The PIRATES of PENZANCE’ before opening in Maitland and then Hawks Nest.
I recently had the privilege of attending one of their rehearsals and I can unequivocally say this multi-talented group has once again produced a wonderfully funny musical treat. They told me they are all looking forward to bringing their show to the Hawks Nest Community Centre on May 24th and 25th because the audiences are always so very appreciative of th
eir efforts.
As usual they will be accompanied by their extraordinary 25 piece orchestra and it is expected that there will be at least 50 people comprising of cast, crew and orchestra actively involved in ensuring the audience will see and hear something special.
Part of the proceeds from the Hawks Nest performances will be donated to local charities.
