We have changed the date of the next NACCAi ordinary meeting to 18 May, from 11 May, because of Mothers Day on 12 May.

We have also organised for Paul de Szell, who is the Director Liveable Communities MidCoast Council, and a Council senior planner, to attend the meeting and give our community a presentation on the draft MidCoast Local Environmental Plan (LEP) which should be on public exhibition by then.

This draft MidCoast LEP will replace the existing LEP's for Great Lakes, Taree and Gloucester. It will result in significant zoning changes in the MidCoast area, including for paper subdivisions.

The LEP presentation will cover:

  • How it was developed
  • What changes are proposed for the North Arm Cove area zoning
  • The steps and timing to finalise the LEP
  • The community consultation process and lodging submissions

It will take place at the beginning of the meeting, and we will schedule an hour for it so there is lots of time to ask questions.

The changes to the LEP could result in major changes to the non-urban area, and consequently the village.

So if you are a resident or landowner in the North Arm Cove village, and you would like to find out about the rezoning changes, come along to the meeting on Saturday 18 May, from 2-4 pm in the Community Centre.
