The North Arm Community Association Inc’s AGM is coming up on Saturday, 8 August. We currently have our youngest president ever, John Kugel. It is great to see a younger member of our community take on this responsibility. Most of our previous presidents have been over 50. John is passionate about our environment and brings a different perspective and a different way of tackling old problems. Please come along to the general meeting and the AGM and support John and his team.
Quite a number of past presidents and office bearers of the North Arm Community Association (NACCAi) still live in the village. Past presidents still in the village include Richard Kurzowski, Tony Hann (as committee leader), Len Yearsley, Gary Sylvanie, Doug Kohlhoff, Jim Parnel and Bob Reid. Some of these people are still active on the NACCAi committee and subcommittees.
NACCAi has not been a men’s club. There have been two female presidents, Stephanie Hunter and Cheryl Flemming and many female secretaries (the backbone of any group).
Membership fees are now due, and your $10 helps cover insurance costs, stationary and hiring the hall for the quarterly meetings. Meetings and membership are open to all village residents (including tenants), and village property owners (including holiday properties). Only current financial members can vote. You can pay your membership at the door, pop it in the letterbox at the Community Centre or pay it direct to the bank BSB 325-185 Account Number 3860 9949. We need to know who has paid, so don't forget to put your name.
