Tea Gardens drinking water OK: MidCoast Water

By sirius, 20 February, 2018

Brendan Guiney, Director Water Services  of Midcoast Council (formerly Midcoast Water) has made the following official statement in relation to proposed activities being undertaken at Tea Gardens:

In December 2017 we were made aware of potentially illegal work being undertaken on land owned by Australian Pine Products Pty Ltd in Tea Gardens. We are working closely with other State Government departments to investigate the impacts of these activities.

MidCoast Water Services has a rigorous Drinking Water Quality Management System that includes a variety of tests on a regular basis. The recent tests indicate there is no change and the water continues to meet the requirements of the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.

The MidCoast Water Services team will continue to monitor and test the water quality.
