A pathetic scenario awaited the volunteers for the Community Garden on Wednesday morning, 29.11.23. Vandalism is sad at any level but for the hard working volunteers of this beautiful oasis and venture... 'demoralizing' doesn't cover the narrative nearly enough!
Terri Horton, Community Garden volunteer stated: "It was a terrible shock to arrive at the Community Garden and see such vandalism . My pics don’t show the gravity of deliberate destruction. About 10 immature pumpkins were ripped out along with many onions and wooden labels".
Please be vigilant with your gardens - locals are thinking schoolies on a destruction binge...
