LEN ROBERTS, CHRISTMAS CHEER AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR

By Annie44, 8 January, 2015

The North Arm Cove Resident’s Association hopes everyone had a happy and relaxing festive season.  We are looking forward to a busy, productive 2015 and the completion of many of the Cove projects that are still pending.

Twenty-six Cove residents attended the NACRA General Meeting in December, many keen to hear from Deputy Mayor, Councillor Len Roberts, who covered a wide range of issues during his address.

Of particular interest was the 10-50 rule and how it affects tree clearing.  Len also fielded questions from non-urban landowners and provided updates on drainage, roads and the Fame Cove Development.  Other subjects discussed were the possible merging of some local councils and progress on the community fire plan.

After the meeting, members enjoyed some “Christmas Cheer” and the opportunity of a one-on-one with Cr. Roberts.

In February, we plan to have a guest speaker from Great Lakes Council who will provide more detailed information on the proposed road and drainage works in North Arm Cove.
