For the Musically Minded - and Others!

A weekend of musical delight is ahead on the weekend of 2nd and 3rd of August. 

David Miller, AM, Head Of Performance Studies at Sydney Conservatorium is once again bringing an ensemble of talented graduates to perform at the Hawks Nest Community Centre on Sat. 2nd August at 2.00pm. Tickets $15 followed by a delicious afternoon tea for just $2.00. Those who have attended these concerts in previious years  have always enjoyed an extremely talented level of entertainment and this yrear promises more of the same with David accompanying performances of Flute, Violin, Viola, and Cello. The Myall U3A sponsors these visits each year, which also includes financing a visit to the local primary school on the Friday to showcase to the students the various instruments. an educational opportunity that would not be possible without this sponsorship. So note it in your diaries come along and enjoy a wonderful afternoon's entertainment and support our U3A.

The music feast continues with the performance of the concert "I  Remember" at the Newcastle University Great Hall on Sunday, 3rd August. at 2.00pm The concert is timed to co-incide with the anniversary of the outbreak of WW1 and features the Newcastle University Choir, The Hunter Singers, and the Newcastle Army Band. This is a once only concert with the music themed to this period, and is definitely one not to miss!
