The North Arm Cove Residents Association held its AGM on Saturday, 10th August. Elected were President, Stephanie Hunter, Vice President, Doug Kohlhoff, Secretary Annette Searle, Treasurer, Kath Kohlhoff, Committee, Len Yearsley and Barry Young. As our Constitution calls for an Executive Committee of seven, there is a casual vacancy. If any one in the community would like to become a member of the Committee, please contact one of the above Executive. A brief General Meeting was held after the AGM, and then the Labor and Liberal Federal Candidates were invited to address the meeting and take questions from the floor. Main issues from residents were concern about the different approaches to the NBN rollout, Carbon Tax, renewable energy and electricity prices, the lack of vision of both major parties, the economy and jobs, especially for the young.
The Residents Association is holding a Soup and Games Night next Friday 16th at the Hall. Bring you own mug,and enjoy competing against you friends in Darts, Carpet Bowls and hopefully, table tennis. Time from 5.00 to 8.30, cost $5.00pp.
