TENNIS NEWS
JUNE 2017
The good news is that the Multi Purpose Practice Court has been completed. David Read and his crew started work on 1 May and the slab (double in size) poured on 2 May. The basketball hoop was transferred to the western side of the slab to improve access and space for all. A great job by Dave and the boys, very much appreciated.
Olympic Fencing planned to start the chain link fence and roof on 22 May with completion on 23rd. All went to plan and the facility is ready for use. It coincides with many other parking, road and reserve improvements in the Community Hall Master Plan to provide a true village centre for North Arm Cove.
The 29 April General Meeting mainly covered the general administration required of us by Fair Trading and Tennis NSW (the Minutes of all meetings are on the Cove website). However, it also marked the retirement of tennis stalwarts Ken and Carol Duffey from the Committee. They have both served since the beginning of the Club and will be sorely missed by all as they move north to Goonellabah in early July.
We have decided to alter the Tennis Pizza Nights to the first Saturday of the month, BYO, starting at 5pm during the winter months. Everyone welcome, whether you have played, play now or wish to learn, come along for a great night out. Call the tennis phone 0427276718 for details or to book the court.

President
