TENNIS NEWS JANUARY 2014

By peterc, 2 February, 2014

The tennis court has proven to be a great asset for both residents and visitors over the holidays, with the great weather and new shade shelter. While December numbers were down, January was very busy, paricularly with visiting relatives and holiday makers, with the court fully booked on one day from 8am - 6pm.

Our Tennis Taster Day on 19 January was designed to introduce non-players and people who may have played at some time in their lives, to the game, with free racquets, balls and coaching from our regular players. Despite  great weather, numbers were lower than expected, with only three children and two adults coming along. However, good to meet new people and have some fun belting balls around! A big THANK YOU to our volunteers for giving their time to host the day.

Dont forget our next General Meeting Saturday 15 Feb 10 am following social tennis.
