Derek Kingsley, a long-time resident of Cove Boulevarde, North Arm Cove, passed away on 29th December, aged 84 years.
Derek’s funeral was held on a sunny afternoon last Tuesday at the Karuah Cemetery.
It was simple and elegant, and was led by three of his daughters who told us about Derek’s life.
Derek is survived by Tillie, his wife of nearly 50 years, two children, four step-children, seventeen grandchildren, and nine and a half great grandchildren.
Many of our residents live quietly amongst us, but they have had very interesting lives and achieved many great things in their personal and professional lives, that we know little about.
Derek was one of those people – a quiet achiever!
