Dangerous Oyster Posts

Information

The overgrown and derelict oyster posts on OL86/140 were removed by the leaseholder earlier this year.

At low tide, it is obvious that some posts were missed. From the shore five posts are visible on the southern half of the lease and four on the northern half of the lease. These posts are not visible at high tide and are a navigation risk for the unwary.

We have informed the Fisheries staff at DPI and they said that they would notify the leaseholder. With the summer holidays approaching, please make sure that your visitors are aware of the problem.
