More dumped asbestos in the non-urban area - who was the grub that did this?

Information

Further to my article last Sunday, more dumped asbestos has been found in the non-urban area.

This pile was found by a non-urban landowner, and details have been reported to Council.

It is located on the corner of Somerset Avenue and Ballina Crescent, about 300m from Carrington Road. It has possibly been there for a few weeks.

This pile is larger than the one I reported on last week, it was also wrapped in black plastic, and as well as lots of asbestos sheeting it contains pieces of broken kitchen or bathroom/laundry cupboards, as two broken halves of an old broken cast iron bath that looks like it was green/blue inside.

Some of the asbestos sheeting was painted on one side, and there were at least two different decorative patterns on it - perhaps from a lining on the sheeting.

I have included photos of the asbestos, including the painted and patterned pieces. Hopefully someone will recognise these patterns and be able to help identify the culprit.

The dumping has been reported to MidCoast Council and Council and the EPA are carrying out an investigation and working out what to do with it, in addition to the asbestos waste dumped on Allandale Crescent.
