ORRCA is holding its annual Port Stephens Dolphin Census on Sunday 18th August between 11am and 12 midday, and is looking for volunteers to count and observe dolphins, their behaviour and to photograph them if possible.
They are looking for the census to be done in as many parts of Port Stephens as possible, from both the water in a boat or from the shore. The census is important as it gives an insight into the health of the population.
Dolphins are frequently spotted in North Arm Cove, sometimes quite close to the shore. It would be great if lots of NAC residents could participate.
No experience is necessary, just an interest in dolphins.
The attached brochure provides a bit more information on the census and how to register.
