The pre-Easter week may be short but that hasn't held back some feverish activity adjacent to the Community Centre.
Tuesday morning we were still awaiting the concrete pour for the base beneath the fire-fighting water tank. We were still hoping for the base of the playground to be installed in time for Easter.
The playground work was first to commence on Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile the water tank was being loaded onto the back of a truck ready for delivery - but intermittent showers had deterred the concretors. So still no slab. Fortunately some energetic efforts from the concretors on the Wednesday made the slab appear in time for a Thursday tank delivery and installation.
