For your information, below is a letter sent to Hon Matt Kean, Treasurer and Minister for Environment and Energy, on behalf of our Sub Committee and copied to Hon Kate Washington and the Director of the Conservation Branch National Parks and Wildlife Service who has previously indicated NPWS would consider purchasing the Fame Cove Land should it be offered for sale.
Mr and Mrs Lee's present circumstances open the possibility that the land may again come on the market presenting the opportunity of obtaining it for public ownership.
Kate Washington has approached the Minister, so he and his Department are now aware of the present situation.
