During a visit to North Arm Cove this afternoon local Federal MP, Dr David Gillespie, announced a Federal Stronger Communities Grant of $5000 for the Cove. This grant will provide half the funding for a project that will see solar-powered lighting installed around the Community Precinct to assist people moving safely from the Hall to their cars in the adjacent parking areas.
Dr Gillespie congratulated the effectiveness of the application from the Residents Association. He also noted the dollar for dollar contribution that will be coming from the local community. As well as contributions in kind, the Association is putting in $2000, the Hall Committee $2000 and the Tennis club $1000 towards this important local project.
