June Residents Meeting: Kate Washington guest speaker

By dougk, 4 June, 2015

Do come to the 13 June Residents Meeting,10am at the Hall. (Check out the agenda attached below.) We have as our guest our state MP, Kate Washington. Kate has already visited the Cove more than once since her election in March. She has collected a long list of issues to follow up as a result of the storms. But June 13 is a chance for Kate to tell us what she can achieve in her new role and to learn more about those issues that really matter to Cove residents.

There will be other important issues to discuss at the meeting as well. One item will concern something that has not happened in the Cove! Do you remember, back in late 2013, the Residents Association received a $31375 NSW Better Boating grant to put small dinghy launching ramps at Casuarina and Water Street reserves? Where are they? Come along and hear the latest challenges on this saga.

The June meeting will be the last one until the AGM which, this year, will be on 10 October! Too many committee members are skipping the country so we are skipping the meeting in August!

The Cove community has shown many times how much it can achieve when it works as a team and the Residents Association has achieved a great deal for the Cove over almost half a century. For $10 a year membership of the Association is excellent value. Membership for 2015-16 can now be paid, either at the June meeting, by direct deposit, (see here for renewal details and here for new memberships) - or to the Treasurer c/ 38 Eastslope Way.
