This post is a notice to inform you of the following meetings for the North Arm Cove Community Association Inc.
Members and visitors are welcome to attend these meetings.
Covid safe requirements will be followed.
1. Ordinary General Meeting
To be held on Saturday 13 November 2021 from 2:00 to 3:30 PM at the Community Centre.
The agenda for this meeting will be sent to members a few days beforehand and placed on the website.
2. Annual General Meeting for the 2020/21 year
To be held after the Ordinary General Meeting on Saturday 13 November 2021 from 3:30 to 4:00 PM at the Community Centre. Refreshments will be available afterwards.
The agenda for this meeting, a copy of the minutes from last years AGM, and a nomination form for committee positions are attached.
In the next 12 months there will be lots of interesting projects coming up, including the rural strategy and the future of the non-urban land; a public jetty proposal; hopefully a successful grant application for improvements for either of Heros Beach, Casuarina Park or Yallarwah Park; roads and traffic signage improvements; drainage improvements; the Fame Cove land rehabilitation; upgrading the community website; and the local community plan.
We are seeking nominations for committee positions at the AGM. Under our constitution all seven positions are declared vacant, with elections held for the roles of President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer and three committee members for the forthcoming year.
Please give some thought to nominating for one of these roles. None of them are difficult or very time consuming. They are all important and they help make living in the Cove better for everybody and improve our environment and infrastructure.
You don’t have to be a long-term resident to be on the committee, new residents are welcome to become committee members, and we value fresh ideas and new faces.
Volunteering for a committee role is a great way you can give something back to your community.
At the present time there are four members on the committee. However, we would like to have a full committee of seven members that is fully representative of our community.
