Some more information for boaties and roadies in an attempt to clarify the Hunter lockdown situation from Len Yearsley.

Len was advised by Charlie Dunkley, Waterways boating officer, that access is permitted on the MidCoast boundary of Port Stephens but not the Port Stephens LGA side  in lockdown. He was directed today from his office the waterway is not in a lockdown area.

This information from Kate Washington:

“I sought clarification from the Health Minister’s office this week regarding access to COVID testing and vaccinations in lockdown areas, for people living outside the lockdown area. I’ve received the following advice:

1. Residents of North Arm Cove, Pindimar, Bundabah, Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest can get tested at the Raymond Terrace drive-through testing clinic at the Lakeside Sports Complex, and return home without any restrictions, providing they don’t get out of their car.

2. There’s an exemption for vaccination. Residents living outside the lockdown area can enter the lockdown area without having to stay at home when they get back if getting vaccinated.”

For travellers, Clause 22 (a) of the Public Health Orders applies:
Clause 22 of the Public Health (COVID-19 Additional Restrictions for Delta Outbreak) Order 2021
Travelling through Greater Sydney:

Clauses 20 (staying at home) and 21 (entering Greater Sydney) do not apply to a person merely because the person:
(a) travels through Greater Sydney in a vehicle if the person does not leave the vehicle while in Greater Sydney, or:
(b) enters Greater Sydney by road and then travels through Greater Sydney by the most practicable direct route, or:
(c) enters Greater Sydney by air and does not leave the airport while in Greater Sydney, or:
(d) enters Greater Sydney, by vessel or aircraft, and then travels directly from the port or airport at which the person arrived to leave Greater Sydney by the most practicable direct route, or:
(e) enters Greater Sydney to travel to a port or airport to leave Greater Sydney and then travels to the port or airport by the most practicable direct route.
