It rained and it rained and........then the heavens cleared on the morning of March 2nd. Just in time for a small band of concerned villagers to start the annual task. Twelve eager helpers set about removing another years collection of discards in our area. We didn't end up with quite such a pile as in previous years, but it was still bad. It is sad that some don't appreciate the beauty of the place we live in and trash it without regard.
My sincere thanks go to the team - Rob Van Zandervliet, Patty Moller, Susan and Jan Carter, Allan and Trish Woodrow, Elizabeth Deans, Doug Kohlhoff and Carol and Ken Duffey. And a special thanks to Kate Milford who gave us a really good start by cleaning up the whole NAC Road nature strip from the highway to the village days in advance of the official event.
