Just behind the Community Hall there are some more orchids in flower. They can be found along the edge of some of the gravel roads. Try Hexam Place and Singleton Parkway for some large patches. The Bonnet Orchid, Cryptostylus erecta, is about 40cm tall and the Large Tongue Orchid, Cryptostylus subulata, is a bit taller with some being up to 80cm high. Both varieties have specimens at various stages of growth and they look like they may be around for a couple more weeks.
