This may be a bad year for snakes. The picture, taken yesterday, shows a dead tiger snake (clearly run over) at the junction of Water Street and Cove B. A near neighbour found a baby red bellied black in their yard. Take care, especially if you have children or pets.

Also, beware walking at night on the road. The baby brown snakes enjoy the warmth of the asphalt and they look like sticks on the road.
