On Monday last (July 6) a contingent from the Mid North Coast SES team visited the Cove to say thank you to the whole Cove community.

On Saturday Night (May 23) the Cove community dug deep to express its appreciation of the splendid efforts of the SES during the April storms. At the end of the night the SES were presented with a cheque for $3,500 but when the receipts from donations, entry fees, raffles, auction sales and competitions are all combined, the final figure is likely to be even higher. Not a bad effort from one small village!

The SES did a fantastic job following April's cyclonic storm events. While these events are still fresh in our memories, it is a good time to see what we can learn from our experiences. It will help the community to be better prepared should something similar happen again. To aid this process the SES are holding a public meeting at the Baptist Church in Tea Gardens.
