With reference to North Arm Cove, a hazard reduction plan targeting strategic locations was developed through the Community Protection Plan. This plan identified specific areas to conduct hazard reduction activities with the purpose to provide strategic areas of fire protection advantage which will reduce the speed and intensity of bush fires, and reduce the potential for spot and crown fire development.
