For many years the helipad at the Hall has remained unused – and that has probably been a good thing. But today (Sunday 26th) the helipad saw action for the second time in ten days and that is not good news.

Work is expected to begin in the next few weeks on the first stages of the proposed mitigation plan Ian Cook told the 45 residents who attended this morning's meeting (Saturday 18 April) at the Community Hall. Ian stressed that while the Community Plan is important, we all need to have our own Survival Plans completed and our houses well prepared.

Many Cove locals would have heard the helicopter landing at the Community Hall tonight (Friday). This followed a house fire in The Esplanade (west). Three people including a very young baby were transported to hospital.
